Meet Dr. Howard
Dr. Roy Howard graduated from dental school at the University of Washington in 1975. He then completed a general practice residency with the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) where he received extensive training, focusing on oral surgery, endodontics and periodontics. Dr. Howard was chosen to be the Chief Dental Officer of a USPHS Clinic in San Pedro, CA. During this two year period while being in charge of the USPHS Clinic, he taught IV Sedation at UCLA for the Pedodontic Department and trained students on how to use IV Sedation to treat handicap children in dentistry. Dr. Howard was also an associate in a private dental practice in Huntington Beach, CA, until the spring of 1978, when he bought his own dental practice near Monterey, CA. Dr. Howard excelled in the area of endodontics (root canal therapy) and cosmetic dentistry, while incorporating impacted wisdom teeth and periodontal surgeries in his practice. He sold his practice in 2007 and moved to Arizona, where currently performs periodontal procedures at Contemporary Dentistry.
